Why are there multiple spottings of cigar shaped inter-stellar objects that could be an alien spaceship, suddenly being reported on? Why is the military purposely flying squads of airplane at night in formations that can easily be mistaken as gigantic UFOs? Why you ask? Because they need to come up with an explanation for trillions of missing dollars. Let's think rationally for a moment. The UFO phenomenon has been filmed since the 1940's when Foo Fighters were first spotted. Over the decades there have been countless testimonies and sightings by credible sources (like military/commercial pilots) let alone hundreds and hundreds of hours of footage. Ask anyone in the world if they know what a UFO is and they will answer yes.
